A large conifer plantation on the outskirts of Coalburn. There are several ways to access these woods, but I took the track from Coalburn Woods which took me about an hour. It was well worth the walk as the track passes through some lovely landscapes. There are some small lochs en route which are popular with visiting geese. Also saw a hen harrier on my walk. A great place for the views. Would also be a good place for cycling as the tracks are even and very wide, as they were old mine link roads
