Kingshill Plantation

Kingshill Plantation is a large, predominately conifer forest near Allanton. It is reached by a small lane which runs pass Auchterhead Woods. The lane to the woods is used by heavy vehicles as at the end of the of it is an mineral water plant. You just never know what you are going to find when you go searching for woods, but this has to be a first for me. The forest also has a large windfarm on the site. Foot paths throughout the site with good views. Limited parking at site.
