King John?s Wood is one of The Woodland Trust's 'Woods on Your Doorstep' woodlands created to commemorate the Millennium. A former waste ground it lies on the slopes of the Cober Valley on the outskirts of the Gweal Wartha housing development at Helston. It comprises a mixture of native broadleaf trees and offers great views across the valley.
