Ide Hill

A lovely ancient woodland on the Greensand Ridge with views out across the Weald of Kent. A grassy area in the heart of the woodland is a great place for a picnic, surrounded by mature oak and sweet chestnut trees. Much of the area was affected by the 1987 storm, but some ancient trees remain amongst the wild cherry, ash, oak and coppiced hazel.
