Hart Moor Farm Extension

Hart Moor Farm near Hartlepool is in the Tees forest. Here the owner has planted native trees and established grassland on former arable land. The grassland and this access is part of the Countryside Stewardship Scheme. This farm has been in the scheme for 10 years and has now signed up for another ten years. You are free to walk or ride around the route detailed on this board and ponder on how different the landscape might have been, if not for the new trees and grassland.
