Glent Quarry in Stalybridge is situated alongside the old Luzley Road just a 10 minute walk from town. This expansive and remarkable undulating landscape is enjoyed by walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and many others in the community. One of the most recognisable features is an impressive rockface, which has inspired proposals to transform the quarry into an outdoor pursuits centre.
