Forsinain

This huge forest a few miles from Forsinard is made up of predominately conifers can be reached by footpath from the A897 which rises up from the road. Wide track up from Forsinian Farm with wonderful views of Sutherland. Great place for birds, was lucky enough to see a hen harrier on my recent visit, hoovering about one of the small lochs close to the forest. Also saw snipe, skylarks & lapwings. Way marked and plenty of parking at entrance where there is also a bus stop. Well worth a visit.
