This family friendly wood near the village of Tongwylais is convenient for the M4 and Taffs Well railway station. It is frequently a film location for several TV programmes including "Dr Who?". The mixed woodland is particularly spectacular in springtime when bluebells, garlic and anemone carpet the forest floor. Year round attractions include great views, amazing carvings, dragon sculptures, a great path network, Castell Coch and some caves.
