Englemere Pond

This important local nature reserve features a variety of habitats for plant and animal life including shallow lake, reed bed, heathland, and mixed woodland of Scots pine, oak , mountain ash, willow and silver birch. All habitats are reached by the circular marked trail. Important species found here include grass snake, siskin and redpoll, and round-leaved sundew. Sleeper bridges and boardwalks have been installed in damp areas. Main access is via the free car park in Swinley Road.
