East Tarbrax

East Tarbrax is made up of three sites, I visited the section by Allanton Rd on the outskirts of Shotts. Woods with wide grassy paths throughout the site with great views overlooking farmland & hills. Mixed woodland with predominately young trees which runs alongside the South Calder Water. Some limited off road parking a short walk from site. Lots of meadows with wildflowers especially meadowsweet & red campion. Good site for birds and insects too. All facilities to be found in Shotts.
