KNOWSLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL WOOD
Cross Hillocks Woods was planted as part of the Knowsley Expressway development in 1995/96. It lies on the east of the Expressway, off Netherley Road, and lies adjacent to Hillsborough Oaks (west of Expressway). The young woodland also contains a meadowland habitat and a small pond, providing an excellent wildlife haven.
