Crichton Manse wood forms part of Crichton Glen & is made up of 3 sections. There is an open marshy valley below the church & Crichton Castle,Maggie Bowie's Glen is a SSSI and Crichton Manse Woods. Well worth a visit with parking close by for the Castle. While in the area the Castle is well worth a visit which is managed by Historic Scotland.
