Callendar Estate - Avonbank Woodland

One part of this wood is situated outside Linlithgow Bridge & close to Balderston near the hamlet of Birkhill. This is a woodland that runs parallel with the River Avon and M9 motorway. Plenty of off road parking close to Cemex works. Woodland made up of young trees, good mixture of hazel, rowan, ash, birch, hawthorn, oak and beech. Wide grass tracks throughout & waymarked. At the entrance to works a 'heritage footpath' leads to Linlithgow. Good views of surrounding farmland & River Avon.
