This forest is situated by Loch Calder and close to the hamlet of Broubster and also the RSPB nature reserve at Broubster Leans. There is also an abandoned village at Broubster which is worth a visit too. Plenty of parking at site. The entrance I walked down to has recently had some logging carried out. Mainly a conifer plantation with wide forestry tracks throughout. Great views from the forest and set in some lovely wild Caithness countryside. Lots of interesting history around the area.
