Blackgate Moss is a large Forestry Commission conifer plantation a couple of miles from Carnwath. Not an easy forest to again access, I found the best access with some limited parking down loch road close to White Loch and beside Ryeflat Peat Moss, which is a huge peat extraction site. Grass foot paths throughout with great views of South Lanarkshire.
