Balloo Woodland Nature Reserve offers a secluded stroll through semi-ancient woodland. The woodland is the last remnant of the gardens of Balloo House - home of the Steele-Nicholson family from the early 1700s. The reserve is full of mature trees, including some oaks thought to be over 300 years old, and supports a range of woodland flowers, birds and insects. There is also a small pond and a network of paths.
