A beautiful nature reserve that was originally the pleasure park to Norman House, this reserve is a high woodland with grassland on a sandy/gravel soil. There are a number of large ponds providing ideal habitat for Great Crested Newts, dragonflies and damselflies. Cowslip, wild Strawberry and Common Spotted Orchid grow in the meadows along with the uncommon Lesser Lady's Mantle and Adderstongue Fern. The many bird species include nuthatch and all three species of woodpecker.
