Alverwood

Alverwood is a small strip of woodland bordering Rowner road. It is however, a little gem. It supports some quite old Elms that have yet to succumb to the disease, oak and hazel understory. As you go south of the wood it nears a stream and turns in to wet willow woodland adding a great diversity to the woods. The rides support a surprising range of herbaceous plants, Enchanters nightshade for instance.
