Come along, grab a spade and help plant new native trees at Knightsridge Woods.

This site is one of over 50 blocks of woodland the Woodland Trust Scotland manages across West Lothian. Our vision is for a world where woods and trees thrive for people and nature, and planting more trees is one way we can achieve this.

Drop in anytime between 10am-2pm to help us replant Knightsridge Woods with a variety of native broadleaf trees.

This is a free event but booking in advance via Eventbrite is essential.

Don't forget

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for planting outdoors. Good waterproofs, walking boots and warm layers are advised.

There are limited facilities and no toilets on site. The nearest toilets are located at ALDI (EH54 4FQ), roughly one mile way (a two-minute drive or 13-minute walk).

Refreshments will be provided.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

When and where

  • Date: Sunday 16 February, 10am-2pm.
  • Price: free, but donations to support the management of our woodlands are welcome.
  • Location: Knightsridge Woods, Livingston, West Lothian, EH54 8HW.

Please note, an exact meeting point will be shared in an email to attendants closer to the time.
  • Parking: as this is a community event, we encourage people to walk or use public transport where possible. If driving, please park sensibly and in line with residential rules.
  • Access: Knightsridge Woods has recently undergone extensive felling works, so the ground is muddy and uneven but relatively flat otherwise. We therefore advise wearing sturdy footwear (wellies or walking boots).
  • Dogs: well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
