Social media community guidelines
These guidelines are in place to create a safe environment on all our social media channels.
1. Our social media pages are monitored between 9am–5pm, Monday–Friday, and so cannot guarantee an immediate response to comments and messages.
2. Please send feedback or complaints to our enquiries inbox, enquiries@woodlandtrust.org.uk, which is monitored by a dedicated team.
3. Please report emergency matters (such as wildlife crime or a fire in one of our woods) to emergency service providers, not our social media inboxes.
4. Our social media team is unable to process any personal data or requests to change permissions via our social media inboxes. If you have a request relating to this, please contact enquiries@woodlandtrust.org.uk.
5. We're working hard to build positive communities who champion our objectives and retain the right to monitor and moderate our social media pages. We welcome constructive feedback and healthy debate, but we'll remove comments and block the accounts of those who share content that we consider to be:
- abusive or threatening
- offensive
- inciting hate
- obscene, defamatory or insulting
- unlawful (for example: defamatory, fraudulent or in violation of intellectual property rights)
- purposefully deceptive
- contrary to the fulfilment of our charitable objectives.
If we feel you're breaking the guidelines of the social media provider, we'll also flag your account as inappropriate to the relevant social media network.
