Tyneham Woods

Check access times with Land Owners website opposite. Access most weekends and public holidays otherwise closed for firing range practice. This wood is mainly broadleaf with mainly oak and ash with some sycamore. The majority is out of bounds being Ministry of Defence property but whilst going along the track towards Worbarrow Bay, from the deserted Tyneham Village, the wood can still be seen. A woodland walk has also been created at the Tyneham Village end which is particularly attractive.
