Glenamara Park is a woodland with a view. Its north facing valley displays the head of Ullswater magnificently, while the peaks of Birks and Arnison Crag enclose the park in an amphitheatre of open fell side. The woodland itself is spare and small, and lacks clear paths. Yet it is perfect for "off piste" explorations, with the stream of Hag Beck, the curved dry stone wall outlining the park boundary, and numerous old trees being of particular interest.
