Join us for a guided ramble through Low Burnhall this spring.

You'll discover the history and wildlife of this fascinating woodland, located a stone's throw from Durham City.

Don't forget

Come prepared for the weather, including appropriate clothing and suitable footwear. Bring water, sun cream and any medication you may need.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.

  • Price: free, but donations to support the management of our woodlands are welcome. 
  • Location: meet at the car park off South Road, Durham, DH1 3TX.

  • Access: this walk is 2.5 hours long. Only the initial part of the trail is accessible with gravel paths. Some sections of the trail include steep slopes, steps and non-surfaced paths.

  • Dogs: well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

This walk will be cancelled if there is severe weather. Please check your emails on the day before the walk.

Please make the Woodland Trust team aware of any medical issues before the start of the walk, e.g. asthma, diabetes, etc.
