Do you want to protect ancient trees and the wildlife they support?
If you are aged 13-17 years old, join us for a day of identifying and recording Dartmoor's ancient and veteran trees in Okehampton. You will need to attend with a parent (or other responsible adult). Together you will learn to record these special trees on the Ancient Tree Inventory database, which already boasts over 200,000 records.
The day will be run by the Woodland Trust’s southwest lead verifier of the Ancient Tree Inventory, Tim Kellett.

This event will include an indoor session, as well as the chance to get outside and practise recording ancient and veteran trees in the field.
Booking in advance via Eventbrite is essential. Please book a ticket for everyone attending this event (two tickets for one young person and one accompanying adult).
Come prepared for cold and potentially wet weather, with waterproofs and good walking boots. Hot drinks are provided but please bring your own lunch.
Please bring a smartphone or tablet if you have one. We will have spare tablets.
All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
