Bat and moth walk at Faughan Valley Woodlands
Join us for an evening at Faughan Valley Woodlands to spot some nocturnal flying friends and learn all about them.

Grab your torch and come along to Faughan Valley Woodlands to test your knowledge of our native bats and moths.
On this short walk you'll find out what makes these airborne creatures of the night so fascinating, and you'll have a chance to spot some of them too.

The event may be cancelled or postponed in cases of extreme weather, or in conditions that are poor for bats and moths. Updates will be sent to participants in the lead up to the event.
Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The car park can be accessed via the A6 in the direction heading towards Drumahoe. Take the Ardmore Road exit and then the first left onto Ardground Road. After one mile you will find Red Brae Wood Car Park. - Dogs: no dogs other than assistance dogs to be brought with participants. Please be aware there may be other dogs walkers using the wood during the session.
